Services FAQs

We offer a wide range of internal medicine services, including diagnostics and treatment for gastrointestinal, respiratory, endocrine, hepatobiliary, immune-mediated, infectious, genitourinary, and renal diseases. Our advanced capabilities include endoscopy, ultrasound, and minimally invasive diagnostics.

Endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows us to look inside your pet’s gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tracts using a camera. Most commonly performed for gastrointestinal disease, it helps us diagnose and sometimes treat conditions like foreign bodies, chronic vomiting, diarrhea, and more without the need for surgery.

Ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of your pet’s internal organs. It is a non-invasive and painless procedure that helps us diagnose conditions affecting the liver, kidneys, heart, and other internal structures.

Specialized Care FAQs

We partner with area mobile specialists in cardiology and ultrasound to provide advanced diagnostic and treatment options for heart conditions and other complex health issues. This collaboration ensures your pet receives comprehensive and specialized care without the need to visit multiple locations.

For complex cases, we utilize our advanced diagnostic tools like endoscopy and ultrasound. If further specialized care is needed, our partnerships with mobile cardiology and ultrasound specialists allow us to bring in experts directly to our clinic to assist with diagnosis and treatment.

Appointment & Visit FAQs

Please bring any relevant medical records, a list of current medications, and any recent lab results or diagnostic imaging (radiographs, etc.). If your pet has a specific condition, it’s also helpful to bring a detailed history of symptoms and treatments.

Preparation instructions can vary based on the procedure. Generally, we ask that your pet fasts for 12 hours before an endoscopy. For ultrasound and certain lab tests, withholding food the day of the appointment is also advised. However, some of our pets have unique metabolic needs necessitating feedings (i.e diabetics, etc.) which may negate these general recommendations. 0ur team will provide detailed and specialized instructions when you schedule an appointment with us.

During your pet’s visit, a thorough examination will be conducted. We will discuss your pet’s medical history and current symptoms, perform necessary diagnostics, and develop a tailored treatment plan. We strive to ensure your pet’s comfort and minimize stress throughout the process.
